Government on Wednesday afternoon said that heavy flames started coming out from the forest area of Sulaiman Hills in Srinagar.
An official from government establishment control room at Police Control Srinagar said that fire fighters were rushed to Dalgate from Fire and Emergency department at Batamaloo.
“We have received reports of fire in Sulaiman hills forests,” the official said, “the fire fighters have been rushed to douse the flames.”
Notably, incidents of forest fires have been reported often in Srinagar forest along Foreshore.
