Tertiary care hospital, SKIMS Soura on late Wednesday evening received two pellet injured youths from North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Sources in the hospital said that the injured youths are undergoing evaluation.

“Two youths between the age of 17 and 25 were received who have received pellet injuries,” sources said,” they belong to Aloosa area of Bandipora district.”

“One of the duo has been hit by pellets all over his chest while another one has been hit by pellets in eye, face, head and chest as well,” sources said.

SKIMS Soura MS, Dr Tabish confirmed that the hospital received the two injured youths. “They are stable and undergoing evaluation,” he said, “they will undergo CT scan as well.”

Reports said that clashes erupted in Aloosa early in the day which lasted up to evening. People had planned a freedom rally in the area, however, forces blocked it. “It was later in the evening when forces left, a freedom congregation was held,” local sources said, “clashes erupted in late evening.”

“Forces fired tear gas shells and pellets at the protestors,” they said.
