Late yesterday night, four to five unknown gunmen fired multiple shots killing Gh Nabi Khoja in Kralgund area of Handwara. He was rushed to hospital but lost battle of his life.

“Any killing on the basis political affiliation is inhuman and un-Islamic,” Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani said in an APHC statement issued this evening.

Deceased Gh Nabi was “an active” worker of Peoples Conference led by Sajad Gani Lone who is a minister in PDP-BJP coalition government.

In his late forties, Gh Nabi was an employee in education department and is survived by wife, two sons and daughters each.
