#Day97: OIC Invites Incarcerated Resistance Leaders for Its Uzbekistan Session

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) – an amalgam of 54 Muslim countries – has invited the incarcerated resistance leadership to attend its meeting scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan this month.

In a letter addressed to Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Asiya Andrabi, the OIC has said that the Foreign Ministers of its member nations are meeting in the Republic of Uzbekistan on18 and 19 of October 2016.

Geelani, Mirwaiz and Ms Andrabi, who are under arrest, have been invited to attend the 43^rd session of OIC FMs on the date

“Thanking the Organisation of Islamic countries for inviting its incarcerated chairperson Aasiyeh Andrabi for its 43rd session to be held in Uzbekistan,” a Dukhtaran-e-Millat spokesperson on Thursday said, “due to non-availability of travel documents and being under custody in Baramulla Jail, Aasiyeh can’t participate in the OIC session.”
