DC Srinagar Comes Forward To Help Noorbagh Youth

District administration Srinagar has come forward to help the Noorbagh youth who was allegedly pushed down by Chowki officer Noorbagh from the terrace of the house and is battling for life at SK Institute of Medical Sciences Soura.

The family members of the youth alleged that Chowki Officer Noor Bagh Abdul Rashid pushed their 18-years-old son jan Mohmmad Khandey son of Abdul Satar down from terrace near Shaheen Masjid, Pamposh Colony Noor Bagh. “Jan Muhammad was extracting sand from the river when the Chowki Officer apprehended him, hit him with gun-butts and pushed him down from the roof of the house.

District Development Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmed Shah in his letter vide number Des/ps-miscl/13/1382 to Director SKIMS has informed the Institute that District Administration Srinagar is going to bear all expenditures incurred on the treatment of the youth.

“Please recall the discussion held with you regarding the treatment of Jan Mohammad Khandey son of Abdul Satar Khanday resident of Pamposh Colony Noor Bagh Srinagar. In this connection you are requested to kindly provide necessary medicines which ever are required to the patient and send the bill of the same to this office for reimbursement,” the letter reads.

Pertinently, the spinal cord of the youth has been completely damaged and he is not able to move from his bed.
