In order to address the issues related to functioning of various coaching centres, a meeting was held Thursday under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah.
After threadbare discussion several decisions were taken in the meeting which include Segregation of sexes, details of the faculty, regulation of rolls, registration of coaching centres, provisions of separate washroom facilities, timing of tuition from 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM in respect of girls and 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM in respect of boys, details of fee charged from each student and the criteria adopted for the purpose, adequate heating arrangements to be put in place in the coaching centres, marking of attendance of students, parent teacher meets on fortnightly basis to evaluate the progress of the students.
Also a committee headed by Joint Director Education Kashmir shall be constituted to scrutinize the documents of all coaching centres and will issue necessary registration certificate in respect of such coaching centres that fulfill the requisite criteria.
