District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Sajjad Hussain convened a meeting to review the stock and supply position of food grains and other essential commodities including LPG and Kerosene oil here today.
The meeting was informed that sufficient stock of all essential commodities is available in the district, besides in Gurez Sub Division which remains cut off from the district head quarter during winter months, about 12614 quintal rice, 3623 quintal atta and 1042 quintal sugar is available, while as stock of 88917 liter k.oil and 6500 LPG cylinder will cater the local demands till June this year.
The meeting also informed that 5000 quintal rice have been distributed among the consumers during current month in Bandipora and Sonawari constituencies, besides 9300 LPG cylinders.
Assistant Director FCS&CA Bandipora and other concerned attended the meeting.
