After two weeks, police recovered the dead body of two year old girl from a well in North Kashmir’s Pattan town. The girl had gone missing two weeks back while returning to her house from the neighborhood.
Police sources told CNS that the dead body of baby girl Zeenat Ashraf daughter of Mohammad Ashraf Rather who had gone missing some two weeks back was found in well in decomposed manner. The well belongs to one Abdul Rahim Shah.
The father of the deceased told CNS that Zeenat has been murdered as blood stained clothes were found near the well. “I appeal the police to bring the killers to justice,” he said.
Station House Officer Pattan said that they are seeking the expert opinion and waiting for the post mortem report. “We have registered an FIR vide 156/2013 under section 363 and started the investigation into the matter,” he said.
