SRINAGAR: An unidentified decomposed male body was recovered from a forest area near Takyia Sangrashi on the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
The body was found in forest land falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Khimber Zakura.
Officials said police reached the spot after information about the body was received from the area.
The deceased has not been identified so far, while the body was stated to be in a decomposed condition when recovered.
Police have initiated legal proceedings and efforts are underway to establish the identity of the deceased.
Officials said further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death has been taken up. [KNT]
