Criticizing the government forces for destroying residential houses in Balhama in the garb of an encounter with three militants, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Sunday said that India is directly taking lessons from Israel to deal with Kashmiri freedom loving people.

A spokesman said that a party delegation visited Balhama to express solidarity with those whose residential houses were raised to the ground by government forces in the garb of an encounter with Mujahideen. The delegation while expressing sympathy with the affected families including that of Madhosh Balhami also paid rich and glowing tributes to Rasiq Nabi (Owais) of Tral, Shaheed Shabir Ahmad of Awantipora and their companion who was killed at Balhama. The delegation members said that India is strictly following Israeli path to kill and crush the freedom movement of Kashmir by targeting our residential houses and damaging us economically. Another JKDFP delegation also visited Awantipora to express solidarity with the family of Shaheed Shabir Ahmad.

The JKDFP spokesman added that said that if the government is interested in ending the ongoing bloodshed in the region, it must acknowledge that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute whose people are yet to decide about their political future. One after another, 18 resolutions passed by the UNSC in this regard stand legal witness to the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir.

The party said that due to the lingering of the Kashmir dispute, the people living across the line of control are facing every sort of difficulties and they suffer due to day to day border skirmishes as well. JKDFP expressed deep shock over the latest killings of five members of a family in Poonch and said that there will be no end to such innocent killings as Kashmir dispute is the only reason of India-Pakistan enmity.

The spokesman said Home Minister, Rajnath Singh who termed Jammu Kashmir as “integral part” of India, the JKDFP said that it is Indian political leadership whose immature policies are directing its forces to crush and kill freedom-loving Kashmiri people. And for this purpose political actors like Rajnath Singh issue such childish statements.
