A bench of Justice Vikas Mahajan observed that Rashid has been in custody for over six years and, after examining the records, found it to be a fit case for temporary relief on humanitarian grounds.

The court permitted him to remain either at the hospital or residence where his father is admitted, with the condition that he shall be continuously accompanied by at least two police officials in plain clothes.

The court imposed several strict conditions, including furnishing a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and a surety of an equal amount. Rashid has been directed to remain confined to the specified residence or hospital address provided to the authorities and not to move outside.

He has also been instructed to use only one mobile number, keep it switched on at all times, and refrain from contacting witnesses or attempting to influence the case. The court further directed that there shall be no unnecessary visitors except immediate family members.

The bench clarified that the interim bail is strictly limited to attending to his ailing father, and all costs related to security arrangements will be borne by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
