Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Friday expressed grave concern over the deteriorating health condition of the incarcerated party chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi.

According to a statement, DeM spokesperson, Rifat Fatima, said that after receiving court orders, the police took Andrabi, who is under arrest along with party general secretary, Nahida Nasreen and press secretary, Sofi Fehmeeda for the past more than two months, was taken for a medical check-up to the police hospital.

“At the hospital, the doctors have suggested medication and a hygienic environment for her to recover,” she added.

Rifat said that Andrabi Sahiba is an asthma patient, suffering from heart enlargement and other multiple ailments, adding that she needs regular checkups and a hygienic environment.

Rifat said that Andrabi is undergoing such a critical condition due to continuous detention from past three years and denial of treatment while she has been in Jammu and other jails of the state.

“This is nothing but political vengeance. Denying proper medical care to the party chairperson is a well-thought-out conspiracy of the government who wants to kill her in detention,” she said.

Rifat also urged the people to hold special prayers for Andrabi Sahiba so that the Allah SWT grants her speedy recovery.
