SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary has accused certain daily wagers in Jammu and Kashmir of acting as proxies for the BJP, alleging that they are attempting to derail the government’s public welfare initiatives.
Speaking to reporters, Chowdhary claimed that BJP-sponsored leaders within the daily wager unions are deliberately undermining the administration’s efforts. “After a decade, an elected government has been formed in Jammu and Kashmir, and a committee has been constituted on expected lines to address the concerns of daily wagers,” he said.
Issuing a stern warning, Chowdhary emphasised that employees should prioritise their duties rather than indulging in politics. “Those who are backed by the BJP and are misusing their positions to engage in political activities will not be tolerated. They are employees and should act as such, rather than politicising the issue,” he stated. (KNT)
