Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohd Ashraf Sehrai strongly condemned the ongoing arrest spree of pro-freedom leaders, Hurriyat activists and youth ahead of Gow kadal massacre anniversary and January 26.

The spokesman in a statement termed the arrest and harassment of Hurriyat leaders and activists as the worst form of state aggression. He said that such undemocratic acts and ‘intimidation won’t prevent leadership and masses from speaking the truth and to carry forward the precious freedom movement.

Sehrai ridiculed the unjustified restrictions over political activities of resistance camp and said instead of facing resistance camp on political turf, the government prefers and believes in intimidation, detention and harassment which is taking a heavy toll and is the basic reason for prevailing gloomy situation and uncertainty in the state. Sehrai asked state authorities to set free all resistance leaders and activists, face on political turf, lift all restrictions and allow them to share their view with people.
