Tauseef Pirzada, the Kupwara student who committed suicide in Rajasthan on Saturday is being driven to home. A cousin is brining the body, informed sources said.
Sources said that the Pirzada’s corpse underwent post mortem Sunday morning. Doctors have certified that he has marks on his throat which could be of the strangulation.
Though the family wanted to airlift the body but it was not possible. Some sources suggested that could have been more expensive. The family intends to have another opinion once they bring the body to Jammu.
A spokesman of the J&K government in Jammu quoted Justice minister Abdul Haq Khan saying that it is making arrangements to bring back the body of a Kashmiri student who committed suicide in Rajasthan on Saturday. Expressing grief over the demise of the student, Khan said the government has made arrangements to bring back the body of the student which will be handed over to the family on Monday.
Meanwhile, students of the particular engineering college told Kashmir Life that the college management and a group of Kashmiris who are placing students in colleges are using some ‘defence wing’ against them. Most of the students have deserted college hostel and are living in other places. Efforts to get in touch with the college management failed.
Pirzada has accused the ‘consultants’ and MD of the Shikhawati Engineering College for his suicide.
In the Pirzada’s suicide issue, the J&K police said it has dispatched an officer immediately.
Immediately after getting information regarding the death of Tawseef Ahmad Pir son of Habibullah Pir, a resident of Devar, Kupwara, the Jammu and Kashmir police got in touch with the Rajasthan police and a team headed by an inspector was rushed from Delhi to Rajasthan to facilitate the formalities as soon as possible, the police statement said.
As per the initial investigation regarding the death of Tawseef it has came to fore that two fellow Kashmiris of the deceased who were also acting as middle men had deceived him. This had probably led him to take the extreme step. However further investigation is going on.
The police party along with two of his relatives and other friends after receiving the body of deceased have left Rajasthan and are on way to valley, the police statement said.
It was decided to carry the body by road in view of the weather conditions at Srinagar Airport where scores of flights have been cancelled due to the bad weather.
The J&K police is in constant touch with the Rajasthan Police to ensure that the investigation of the case is expedited and the guilty are brought to book.
