SRINAGAR: Devotees from various parts of Kashmir thronged the Dargah Hazratbal shrine in large numbers to participate in the special prayers on the occasion of the Urs of Ameer-ul-Moomineen Hazrat Abu Bakr Sidiq (RA) on Friday.
Amidst a serene ambiance, men, women, elderly and children thronged the shrine, expressing their reverence by offering prayers, reciting verses from the Holy Quran, and seeking blessings for Almighty.
As soon as the holy relic was displayed, emotional scenes were witnessed as the devotees were seen in tears and seeking mercy from Almighty Allah.
The historic Dargah Hazratbal, a sacred shrine nestled on the banks of Dal Lake, resonated with prayers and chants as devotees paid homage to Abu Bakr Sidiq (RA), the first Caliph of Islam after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“The annual Urs of Ameer-ul-Moomineen Abu Bakr Sidiq (RA) holds immense spiritual importance for us. It’s a moment of unity and faith for the entire community,” said Zahoor, a devotee from Habba Kadal, Srinagar. (KNO)
