SRINAGAR: Director General (DG) of CRPF, G P Singh, visited Srinagar on Tuesday and reviewed the operational preparedness of the Central Reserve Police Force.
The DG, who is on a three-day visit to the Valley, went to 181 Battalion CRPF at Charar-e-Sharif soon after arriving in Srinagar.
The DG was accompanied by Vitul Kumar, SDG Ops Dte; Rajesh Kumar, ADG J&K Zone; Vineet Brij Lal, IG; Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG; and Mitesh Jain, IG. They inspected the 181 Battalion and discussed the security situation and operational preparedness with local commanders.
The visit also included a review of the Force’s preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.
The DG interacted with personnel during a Sainik Sammelan and listened to their concerns. In his address, he acknowledged their service and expressed confidence in their continued performance.
Later, the DG returned to Srinagar and held a conference with Range DIGs and Commanding Officers of 47 battalions deployed in the Valley. The meeting lasted over three hours. (KNO)
