DG Health inspects health care services at Baltal, Panjtarni

Director General Health Services (DGHS), Dr Saleem ur Rehman took a detailed review of health care services being provided to Yatra pilgrims via Baltal Route.

The spokesman in a statement said that DGHS took an extensive one day tour on Sunday and visited Baltal Base Camp Hospital, Panjtarni Base Camp Hospital, Nilgrath and Dardkoot Medical Aid Centre. The DGHS was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Dr R D Kasana, Yatra Incharge Baltal, Dr Shabir Awan, Nodal Officer Yatra, DHSK Dr Arshad Rafi and other officials.

DGHS on this occasion inspected various sections of the hospitals and took a review of health care services being provided to the yatris. He also interacted with staff and the patients admitted to the hospitals.

The Director General Health Services also said that it has been due to the efforts of the Directorate in terms of Human Resource, Skill Based Medical Emergency Trainings and Advanced Medical Emergency Equipments installed at Hospitals en route holy cave that the department has seen a drastic decrease in mortality and morbidity among the pilgrims who come to perform Yatra.
