The Director General of Police (DGP) K. Rajendra Tuesday while expressing satisfaction over the smooth conduction of the first phase of state elections in JK has said that police will ensure the adequate security arrangements for the entire poll process scheduled to be held till December 20.
Talking to KNS, DGP said that the larger participation of people in the democratic process in Jammu and Kashmir vindicates that people have exercised their right sans any fear.
He also hailed the efforts of police department for putting in place the best security arrangements for ensuring free and peaceful elections.
DGP while hoping that people would participate in even greater numbers in coming phases of elections remarked that voters must cast their votes without any fear as the department has channelized all its efforts in ensuring the peaceful conduction of polls.
