DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews Security Arrangements For Kounsarnag Yatra

   

SRINAGAR: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat on Thursday chaired a security review meeting at Police Control Room Kashmir to assess preparations for the upcoming Kounsarnag Yatra.

The meeting was attended by Spl DG Coordination S J M Gillani, senior officers from Kashmir and Jammu zones, range DIGs of South Kashmir Range and Udhampur-Reasi Range, SSPs of Kulgam, Reasi and PCR Kashmir, besides Army officers.

The meeting reviewed the existing security arrangements and measures required for the smooth and safe conduct of the pilgrimage.

Officers briefed the DGP on the preparedness and security arrangements put in place for the yatra. Prabhat reviewed various security aspects and stressed greater coordination among all agencies involved in the arrangements.

He directed officers to maintain a high level of preparedness, strengthen security measures along the yatra routes and ensure seamless communication among all stakeholders.

The DGP said the safety and security of pilgrims must remain the top priority and called for necessary measures to ensure the peaceful conduct of the Kounsarnag Yatra.

He also directed the concerned officers to undertake meticulous planning and ensure effective implementation of the security arrangements.
