SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), has ordered the immediate posting of 50 doctors across the union territory. The move aims to ensure doctors awaiting orders report to their new stations without delay.
The order, issued under Order No. /GZ of 2026 on January 4, directs Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents to submit compliance reports within three days. Failure to comply will attract disciplinary action under the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The postings cover doctors with qualifications in Pediatrics, Anaesthesiology, ENT, Gynaecology, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Family Medicine, Medicine, Dermatology, Surgery, and Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion.
Dr Showkat Ahmad Khan (DNB Pediatrics) will join CHC Dangiwacha, while Dr Furqan Iqbal (DNB Anaesthesia) has been posted to CHC Hajin. Dr Showkat Amin (Diploma Pediatrics) will report to CHC Rajpora, and Dr Rehana Parveen (Post Diploma ENT) to CHC Langate. Dr Rebecca Bashir (Diploma Gynae) will join CHC Pattan. Dr Shahbaz Ahmad Pandit (DNB Gynae) will report to SDH DH Pora, and Dr Mehraj Khaliq (DNB Pediatrics) to CHC Dawar Gurez. CHC Zainpora will receive Dr Aijaz Ahmad (Post Diploma Family Medicine), and DH Bandipora Dr Bilal Ahmad Kannu (Post Diploma Anaesthesia).
DH Budgam will have Dr Supinder Kour (Post MBBS Diploma Gynae) and Dr Sakeena Akhter (Radiology). DH Ganderbal will host Dr Mansoor ul Haq (DNB Radiology) and Dr Qurat Ul Ain (Post Diploma Pediatrics). DH Kulgam will have Dr Omer Bin Hassan (Post Diploma Tuberculosis and Chest Disease). SDH Keller will receive Dr Burhana Jan (Diploma Anaesthesia), SDH Chattergam Dr Krishanjeet Singh (DNB ENT), SDH Bijbehara Dr Rukhsana Shaheen (DNB Ophthalmology), and SDH Dooru Dr Halima Parveen (Diploma Gynae) and Dr Mohd Yousuf Rather (Diploma ENT).
SDH Kokernag will have Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat (MD Pediatrics), SDH Kralpora Dr Zahoor Ahmad Mir (DNB General Medicine), SDH Kupwara Dr Bilal Hassan Bhat (DNB Gastroenterology), and SDH Magam Dr Asif Anwar Qureshi (DNB General Medicine). EH Qazi Gund will have Dr Parvez Ahmad Narchoor and Dr Anayat Ullah Moon (Diploma Anaesthesia). SDH Pahalgam will receive Dr Bilal Ahmad Lone (Post Diploma Ortho), and CHC Chandoosa Dr Anayat Ullah Moon (Post Diploma Family Medicine).
DH Pulwama will have Dr Masooda Wali (Diploma Pediatrics), SDH Seer Dr Shabir Ahmad (Diploma Pediatrics), SDH Bijbehara Dr Fahmida Gani (DNB Anaesthesiology), and SDH Khan Saheb Dr Afshan Anjum Wani (MS Surgery). SDH Tangmarg will receive Dr Neelofer Gul (DNB Gynae), SDH Uri Dr Ajaz Ahmad Wani (Anaesthesia Consultant) and Dr Arif Asad Mir (DNB ENT), SDH Nagam Dr Afroza Bano (DNB Ophthalmology), SDH Yaripora Dr Khalid Aejaz Nasti (MD Medicine), SDH Sopore Dr Sadiya Shabir (MD Radiology), SDH Kangan Dr Nighat Nazir (DNB Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion), SDH Ruhama Dr Sakeena Rasool (Diploma Pediatrics), CHC Kreeri Dr Shamma Bano (Post MBBS Diploma Gynae), and SDH Dooru Dr Bilal Shafiq Dar (MBBS Diploma Radiology).
SDH Tral will have Dr Mohd Yousuf Rather (Diploma ENT) and Dr Zia Ul Islam (DNB General Medicine), CHC Zainpora Dr Aijaz Ahmad Khan (Post Diploma Family Medicine), SDH Kralpora Dr Manzoor Ahmad Mir (Diploma Pediatrics), Trauma Hospital Watergam Dr Shafeeq Ahmad Sofi (MS Ortho), and DH Bandipora Dr Raies Ahmad (MS ENT).
All doctors are deemed relieved from their previous positions and have been directed to join their new stations immediately. The DHS has instructed all concerned officers to submit compliance reports within three days.
