In view of the various difficulties faced by the people, MK Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary, Health & Medical Education department, on Monday issued on spot instructions to the Principal of Government College, Srinagar and the In charge staff of Lal ded and GB Pant hospitals to digitize their medical record and the drug receipts issued through drug stores should be maintained in the hospitals. He also issued the instructions for the maintenance of online birth and death registration in all the Associated Hospitals of the GMC, Srinagar.

To take stock of the facilities being made available in these hospitals, Dwivedi inspected Lalded and G.B. Pant hospitals. He was accompanied by In-charge Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar, Dr Rafiq Ahmed Pampori. The Medical Superintendents of the concerned hospitals gave an over view of the hospital and also various difficulties being faced in the hospitals.

Dwivedi appreciated the implementation of Jannani Sishu Suraksha Kariyakaram (JSSK) in both of these hospitals and further improvements in its implementation were suggested. He desired that central heating system should be started from November 15 and in the meanwhile all arrangements should be tied up to ensure that during winter Associated Hospitals of the GMC, Srinagar do not face any kind of hardship.
