SRINAGAR

Politico-religious organizations Monday alleged that the disciples of fake faith-healer Gulzar Bhat are allowed to meet the ‘imposter’ freely in Central Jail Srinagar. They alleged that jail authorities are giving special treatment to the fake faith-healer who has tarnished the chastity of several innocent girls.

Reports said that an important meeting was called by the leaders of different politico-religious organizations in Krimshora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam District. The meeting was attended by spokesperson Jamat-e-Islami, Advocate Zahid Ali, president International Khatm-i-Nabuwat Movement (IKNM) Maulana Muhammad Amin, President Auqaf Krimshora, member Jamiat Ulma Suni Maulana Abdul Rouf and others.

These organizations demanded that stern action should be taken against the disciples of Gulzar Bhat who were found guilty by police. “Scores of Gulazar Bhat’s disciples are still large and no action has been taken agaisnt them while some others who were part of his gameplan are roaming free and are even meeting him in Central Jail,” the members said.

President, IKNM told CNS that it has come to fore that the disciples of Gulzar Bhat are at liberty to meet their self-styled God-man in Central Jail Srinagar. “It is a serious issue and we appeal the government and police administration to look into the matter and take action against his disciples who were his confidants and exploited innocent girl students in the seminary,” he said.

The 42-year-old Gulzar Bhat son Ghulam Qadir Bhat of Latter Chadur (Shamasabad) Khan Sahib was arrested on May 21 after four minor girl students of his seminary accused him of committing the abuses at the residential institute at Shamasabad in Khansahib area of the district.
