Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba mufti Monday said that the justice has become causality in Kashmir because of ineffective government in Jammu and Kashmir. “This whole nation has virtually become orphan as there seems no justice delivery mechanism in place,” said Mehbooba while participating in obituary references made on the first day of sen-days long autumn session of Legislative Assembly.
She said the state is so helpless that it always justified innocent killings on one pretext or the other. “Bet it killings that took place in 2010 or in Shopian, Markundal, Gool or Samba; the state government always tried to justify these killings calling the deceased drug addicts, stone throwers committing suicide, LeT operatives so on and so forth,” she said.
She said the mention of killings that took place at Samba-Kathua reached US and UN General Assembly Session but there seems no takers for the innocent killings that take place in Kashmir without any end. Mehbooba said last twenty years Kashmir has witnessed unabated killings which unfortunately still continue. However, the victim families are still craving for justice, she added.
On former army Chief General V K Singh’s remarks, Mehbooba demanded a threadbare discussion on the issue.
