Acting promptly on the direction of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu, the district administration Kathua has successfully rescued 33 persons from flash floods by airlifting them in conjunction with Army, BSF and Air force in Kathua district.
As per a statement the rescued persons included 2 in Billawar tehsil, 2 Kot Punoo, 18 Maichack and 11 in Khandwal areas of Hiranagar tehsil.
