SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Thursday directed Deputy Commissioners to intensify efforts to achieve the targets set for Agristack and apprentice registrations under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
He issued the directions during a meeting convened to review district-wise progress under the two initiatives.
The meeting was attended by the Director, Skill Development, Deputy Commissioners, Additional Secretary, Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Central and OSD.
Reviewing Agristack progress, particularly village-wise coverage, Garg directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure 100 per cent submission and 60 per cent approval of targeted villages by September 30.
He also called for stepped-up efforts to bridge the gap in farmer registrations against assigned targets and stressed focused monitoring and expeditious processing across districts.
The Deputy Commissioners were directed to submit a consolidated list of issues and bottlenecks faced during the registration process so that they could be taken up with the concerned departments for timely resolution.
Reviewing NAPS progress, the Divisional Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioners to surpass their assigned targets by Monday.
He also stressed proper quality checks of establishment and apprentice registrations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Garg called for close monitoring at the district level and directed officers to accord priority to the targets within the stipulated timelines.
