SRINAGAR:
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting at Imam Bara, Hassanabad, Rainawari to review the arrangements being put in place for Navroz.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, senior engineers and officers of PHE, PDD, SMC, Traffic, Traffic, LAWDA, RTO, Police, Health, SDA, Fisheries, besides representatives of Local Mohalla Committees were present in the meeting.
Div Com directed the Fisheries Department to ensure availability of sufficient stocks of Fish at Gagribal, Alamgaribazar, Chandpora Harwan, Gundhasi Bhat, Abi Guzar and other Shia dominated areas. He also directed PDD and PHE Departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply especially in these areas during Navroz. He also directed the concerned authorities to ensure immediate repair of defunct street lights in these areas.
The officers of FCS&CA were asked to ensure availability of Rice, besides, additional quota of Kerosene Oil and LPG for Shia population. The Health Department was asked to make medicare facilities available, besides keeping all the Health Centers in these areas open on Novroz.
The SMC officials were asked to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in these areas.
