With a view to discuss and settle militancy related cases, a meeting of District Level Screening-Cum-Coordination Committee (DLSCC) was held on Monday with District Magistrate Bandipora, Dr Shah Faisal in chair.

“During the meeting, Rs 6 lakh were sanctioned in favour of next to the kin of 6 deceased while as Rs 22,000 in favour of 3 property damaged cases. The Committee also awarded Rs 28 lakh in lieu of cash payment for 7 cases. In addition, 2 SRO-43 cases were recommended to Government for employment. As many as three missing cases were declared dead. A few cases were also rejected by the Committee,” an official statement said this evening.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Choudhary and the senior officers from Army and Police, it said.
