SRINAGAR
The District Magistrate Shopian has extended the time period for recording of statements and sharing of information by the general public by one week, up to September 28, 2013 in view of the prevailing law and order situation in the town.
It is pertinent to mention that the government had appointed DM Shopian as an inquiry officer to inquire into the firing incidents at Gagran, Shopian on September 07 and 11, 2013.
