A Kashmiri management student was critically wounded in a midnight assault at his Bangalore private apartment when unidentified persons attacked him with knives and iron rods on Thursday.

Zahid Yousf Dar son of Mohammad Yusuf Dar of Mustafa Abad called a local news agency, KNS from Bangalore Friday claiming that he was attacked by three unidentified persons at around 3.30 am after the trio knocked at his door.

“They were carrying knives and iron in their hands and demanded a 50,000 rupees ransom; however I had 8,000 rupees only in my wallet which they took away along with my personal laptop and some clothes after hitting me with iron roads and knives,” Zahid told KNS.

“I asked them to allow me borrow the money from my other friends in the adjacent apartment following which I took shelter there,” added Zahid.

Meanwhile according to Zahid all the three attackers later fled from the spot and in the morning he lodged a complaint in the Sanjay Nagar police Station after he was provided treatment in the nearby hospital. Zahid is perusing his Bachelors in the management in Brindawan College and is residing in a private apartment at Flat Pope sudeun.
