Darbar Move Employees Federation (DMEF) on Thursday asked the donors not to send further donations to the Federation for the stranded Kashmiri passengers in Jammu.

The Federation State President Ovais Wani in a statement thanked all the donors particularly employees and organizations who donated and appealed all of them not to send more donation for stranded passengers as the issues have been resolved.

The Federation President said the decision was taken in the backdrop of resuming of Srinagar- Jammu highway road service from yesterday.

The federation also thanks to various organizations including, Red Cross Society, President All Sikh Community Jammu, resident Muslim Auqaf Body Jammu, Presidents/Imams of Masjid Shariefs of Jammu and NGOs and all the contributors for timely support for arranging food and accommodation for the stranded passengers in Jammu.

“Keeping in view the humanity all these offices forwarded a warm shoulder and got activated in a very brief time and showed their good support,” he said.

The President said that it was not possible to manage the crises without these bodies as these opened all Mosques, Gurduwaras, Religious Sarayies were opened for stranded passengers.

“This whole service is based on the principles of humanity as every employee put his best effort in solving the problems faced by our Kashmiri brethren and this organization is totally apolitical and is dedicated in serving the needy irrespective of region and religion,” said the statement.

“The decision of asking people not to contribute further help in kind or cash to the federation was decided to keep in view apprehension of any element using it for personal gains,” the statement said.
