Civil society, Bar Association, Student unions, Bhopar Mandal and other public organization of Doda Wednesday demanded immediate “in depth probe” from Punjab Govt into the mysterious death of final year engineering student studying in Rayat Bhara Engineering College Hoshyarpur Punjab.
They said that Mehraj Khalid Mintoo son of Riaz Hussain Mintoo, a resident of Doda died mysteriously and suspect the hand of some criminals elements behind it.
Khalid was found dead at Hosyarpur on Jan 19, 2014 under mysterious circumstances. The student breathed his last at Govt. Civil Hospital, Hoshyarpur and the body was handed over to family after autopsy.
The deceased was brought to Doda hometown on Jan 20, where thousands of people offered the Nimaz-E-Jinazaa.
All the organizations of Doda district including political parties also made a request to J&K Govt. to conduct the enquiry and take up the sensitive issue with the Punjab Govt. for thorough probe and immediate arrest of the accused, and ensure the security of all J&K students studying in Punjab.
