Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday said the appointment of advisors by Governor N N Vohra is a “clear indication” of prolonged central rule followed by elections this year.

Omar was reacting to media reports that Vohra has appointed two advisors former IAS officer Parvez Dewan and Khursheed Ahmad Ganie.

Tech savvy unionist politician Omar Abdullah wrote on micro blogging site Twitter, “this clearly indicates that Gov Vohra doesn’t see an early end to central rule in the state. Elections this year???”

In another tweet Omar said, “even the BJP doesn’t know what the PDP is demanding. Take about a political nautanki by Ms Mufti to fool the people!” He was responding to BJP’s demand asking PDP to make its demands public.

Jammu and Kashmir is under Governor rule since January 9 following the death of former CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who was leading a coalition government of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. Sayeed breathed his last in AIIMS, New Delhi, on January 7.
