A domestic help was found hanging in Bijbehara area of Anantnag District last evening, a police statement said.
“Bijbehara police was informed by some locals that a body is hanging from a tree near Kanalwan Bijbehara. Police party rushed to the spot and recovered the body which was later identified as 18 years Abdul Qayoom Saradna resident of Mohar Reasi. The deceased was working as domestic help at the residence of Sabzar Ahmad Naiko at Bunpora Kanalwan, Bijbehara,” the statement said.
Meanwhile Police said that two persons were injured in different road mishaps.
“A motorcycle hit and injured a school girl 16 years Shabeena daughter of Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Peer at Handwara Market near HDFC Bank, Handwara. The injured girl was shifted to Hospital for treatment,” it said.
It added that a Maruti bearing chassis Number 01S0034 hit and injured a pedestrian Jameela Begum wife of Mohammad Amin Batla resident of Bimyar near Challa, Boniyar. The injured lady was shifted to District Hospital, Baramulla for treatment,” the statement said.
Police have registered cases in the incidents and have started investigation.
