Geelani in his statement expressed hope that we expect that people will generously donate as has been their routine to assist and help us to carry this pious mission.

Appealing for charitable donations and skins of sacrificial animals on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Geelani said that since last seven decades our nation is pursuing for right to self-determination and during this period rendered unparalleled sacrifices.

“Thousands embraced martyrdom, and those rendered homeless figure in thousands,” said Geelani.

“During these horrendous situations hundreds disappeared and yet to be traced. Every individual and every home faced miseries, highhandedness and bullying from occupational forces,” said Geelani and added that Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir was on the “forefront of the freedom struggle of Kashmir”. The organization, he said, was active on other social fronts, thus subjected to extreme brutalities from authorities, asserted Geelani.

“Authorities are very much chasing its leaders and activists and they are caged, harassed and intimidated,” said Geelani.

Geelani appealed people to donate generously the skins of sacrificial animals and other donations to Tehreek-e-Hurriyat local Bait-ul-Mall to make this mission a success.
