Taking strong note of the recent statement of employees leadership wherein it was stated that the  government employees will vote against Congress and National Conference in  the forth coming polls  if their demands remain unfulfilled, Senior Congress leader and state minister Taj Mohi-ud-din termed the statement synonymous to ‘’black mailing’.

Taj, while talking to KNS mentioned that the government employees cannot ‘blackmail’ the political parties here and that the recent statement of the JCC is condemnable and illogical.

Taj further stated that the government functions under regulations and holding political parties responsible for the pending demands cannot be legitimized at any level. “They want to us bribe them and this is the highest state of corruption if the same is done on ground.”

However, he further added that the government has already  fulfilled the demands of the employees and that there are other issues that are being considered at present. “They cannot take us for a ride or threaten us that they will vote against us. This is clear mischief from the side of employees’ leadership.”

Pertinently, the JCC employees in their recent protest had threatened that the government employees will vote against the present coalition government if the demands are not met at the earliest.

The state employees demand the enhancement of the retirement age from 58 to 60 years besides other issues.
