Warwan road accident: DC suspends BMO Dachhan, terminates service of NRHM doctor

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Baseer Ahmed Khan Sunday placed Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dachhan Dr. Mehboob Khan under suspension  for remaining unauthorized absent from his duty, beside ordered the termination of Dr. Bilal Ahmed posted at Community Health centre Afti under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for remaining absent from his duty.
Deputy Commissioner’s action against BMO Dachhan and NRHM doctor posted at Afti came in wake of the aftermath of the death of 10 persons in a tragic accident in Warwan on Saturday evening followed by the protest held by the people of Warwan against non availability of doctors and absent of key officers from the area.
DC Kishtwar also directed the team of Doctor at Marwah to rush to Afti village to take care of injured person at CHC Afti.
As per the official sources, DC Kishtwar has also sought the details of key employees who are posted in Marwah and Warwan, but are either absent from their duty or stationed at District Headquarter unauthorizedly.
It is pertinent to mention that former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad six years ago suspended over three dozen employees in Marwah and Warwan after they were  found absent from their duties, but later all those employees manage to revoke their suspension with active help of politicians, beside also manage their transfer in Kishtwar town and its vicinity areas.
