Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday made it clear that Delhi Assembly Elections has nothing to do with government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.

BJP State Vice President and in charge Kashmir Affairs, Ramesh Arora told CNS that it is useless to link Delhi elections with government formation in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that State Wing of BJP has its own procedure and under those procedures, all efforts are on to form the government in the State.

“Officially, no deliberations with PDP or NC are underway as far as government formation in the state is concerned. But unofficially BJP is in touch with the leaders of both the parties and if things will move in the right direction, BJP will be part of the new government in the State,” Arora said.

He however maintained that PDP has some reservations over certain issues and all efforts are on to clear the air. “We have kept our options open right from the day one and our doors for both NC and PDP are open. BJP is hopeful that deal with a particular party will materialize and new government in the state will get formed,” Arora said.
