While visiting devastated areas of Raj Bagh, Lasjan, , Lal Chowk, Bemina , Maharaj Bazar, Hari Singh High Street, Court, Koker Bazar, Residency Road and Regal Chowk, Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir leader and chairman Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah urged people to show courage and help each other selflessly.

According to a statement issued to KNS Shabir Ahmad Shah appealed the non-affected and well-to-do people to show more and more generosity during this time.  He also paid glowing tributes to those youth including one Firdous Ahmad Teli of Ganderbal, who lost his life  while saving the lives of others.

Shah urged separatist  leadership to extend every possible assistance to deserving people and to work in collaboration in this regard so that relief reaches each and every deserving person. He also thanked all those organizations and individuals outside state who sent relief here. Shah also stressed on need to refer to international community in order to overcome the enormous damage caused by floods.
