The director general Indian System of Medicine (ISM) Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar on Saturday took a review meeting of the officers/doctors, paramedical/ministerial staff of the deptt to review the working of Directorate of ISM, Dy. Directorate of ISM, Make Shift Hospital (on bank of road in front of the Hospital) and other medical camps including mobile camps organized by the deptt of ISM in various Districts/effected areas. The Deptt of ISM has organized 35 medical camps at various places/Districts including Srinagar, Baramulla, Pulwama, Shopian, Budgam, Ganderbal. Thousands of patients have visited the ISM mega camp and other camps and have been provided treatment, counseling and awareness on hygiene and water borne diseases and free medicine besides mobile medical teams have been rushed to 20 places including those on boat where surface transport links have been effected about 50500 patients have been treated in make shift hospital Shalteng and other medical camps including mobile camps up to 20/09/2014, 3 PM. The Director General ISM advised the medical, para-medical and other staff to follow the principle of humanity and work with zeal and dedication on missionary mode basis.

The ISM Doctors fraternity, ISM Pharmacists, ISM ministerial staff unanimously pledged to donate one day salary for flood victims through Chief Ministers relief fund.
