While maintaining that his party is the custodian of the principles of the secularism and harmony amongst various sections of people belonging to different faiths, President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Prof Saif ud Din Soz has said that this can be achieved by ensuring every section gets its due in every sphere of life. “The downtrodden and weaker sections of the society are the backbone of the Congress party which stands guarantee to their rights and interests.”
As per a statement Soz has said, “Congress party which has always taken various initiatives for the upliftment of weaker sections.” And while referring to the constitution of the OBC Advisory Board to discuss the various issues of the OBCs for their redressal, he has said that their genuine demands received due attention of the Congress party.
Prof Soz, MP and former union minister has also said that the Congress party is on the forefront to safeguard the interests of each section, especially the week and downtrodden communities of the society. He was addressing a function at Moti Bazar area of Jammu city.
While expressing gratitude to the gathering for their support to the Congress party, Prof Soz urged the J&K Kashyap Rajput Sabha, who had organized the event, to launch their campaign, to make Congress a strong force in the state. He appreciated the efforts of the Kashyap Rajput Biradari under the leadership of Shri Vaishno Dogra for adopting the path of the Congress party, in the larger interests of the people of the state.
