Dr Ashok Bhan, former DG Police and Member, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, met NN Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today.
As per a statement the Governor, who is Chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, discussed with Dr Bhan several matters relating to the infrastructure and other logistical facilities which are being established for meeting the requirements of the progressively increasing Yatra. Issues relating to security and disaster management were also discussed and Dr Bhan accepted the Governor’s request to chair Committees which would view, interalia, the enforcement of security arrangements in the Yatra area and the management of the Sports Stadium Complex at Katra.
