SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) President Farooq Abdullah, accompanied by his son Omar Abdullah, embarked on a journey to Saudi Arabia to perform ‘Umrah’.
Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina, the two sacred cities of the Muslim faith.
NC’s vice president, Omar Abdullah wrote on X :”Allāhumma innī urīdu l-‘umrata fa yassirhā lī wa taqabbalhā minnī. O Allah, I intend to perform Umrah, so make it easy for me and accept it from me.”

In another post on facebook Omar wrote: “Dr Sahib & I are departing for Umrah now. InshaAllah we will remember all of you in our duas & pray for better days for J&K.”
