The father of famous cardiologist and JKLF leader, Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, Haji Abdul Sattar Guru has passed away Saturday.
JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik immediately after receiving the news of his demise rushed towards Doaabgah Sopore along with other JKLF leaders and attended his Jinaza prayers and funeral. Thousands of people attended his Jinaza with wet eyes.
On the occasion Yasin Malik while paying rich tributes to the departed soul said that “he was an asset of this nation who was always keen to help the needy and perform his social duties. It was his inspiration that motivated his son Shaheed doctor Abdul Ahad Guru to work for poor, needy and downtrodden of the society.”
Malik said that the loss of this great fatherly person is not only a grief and loss for his family but a national loss.
“We have lost an affectionate well wisher, a lovely personality and fatherly figure today,” he said..
He said that the departed soul had a great love for freedom movement and he was always seen praying for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir.
