Hurriyat leader Dr Ghulam Muhammad Hubbi who was rearrested a day after the JK High Court quashed his detention under Public Safety Act (PSA) was released from Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) Jammu on Wednesday, local news gatherer CNS said.
Hubbi’s Counsel, Advocate Javiad Muhammad said he was arrested on charges of fomenting ‘trouble’ in Central Kashmir on August 24 and August 30, was shifted to Kot Balwal Jail Jammu under Public Safety Act.
“On 22 November a bench of Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar while quashing his detention order had directed the government to release him forthwith from preventive detention, however, he was re-arrested and shifted to JIC Jammu where from he was released on Wednesday.”
