r S Muhammad Salim Khan, assistant professor, community medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar has been awarded prestigious ‘Fellowship in Medical Education’ by Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) upon completing with distinction 2-year fellowship with PSG-FAIMER Regional Institute, Coimbatore, India from April 2011 to April 2013 with implementation of curriculum innovation project, “Use of objectively structured performance evaluation to test competencies of a medico expected to carry out duties as a primary care physician” which has been now incorporated in assessment of pre-final MBBS students during examination in community medicine over last three years.
Pertinent to mention that Dr Salim is the first faculty member of Government Medical College, Srinagar to be awarded FAIMER Fellowship.
