A complete shutdown is being observed in Drabgam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the second consecutive day, to protest against the missing gravestone on the grave of slain Hizb ul-Mujahideen commander Sameer Ahmad Bhat, alias Tiger.

The locals alleged that the government forces vandalized the grave of ‘Tiger’ at the martyrs’ graveyard in the village. Sameer was killed along with an associate in a gunfight with the government forces on April 30.

It is pertinent to mention that grave of Sameer Tiger had become the centre of attraction, and it was decorated with flowers and flags.

All shops, business establishments, and educational institutions are closed while as public transport is off the roads, sources said.
