SRINAGAR: A driver was killed after a Maruti Suzuki Eeco met with an accident on the hilly stretch of Shagun Road near Badarkote Nallah in the Ramsoo area of Ramban district on Wednesday, officials said.
According to officials, the vehicle, bearing registration number JK19A-5276, crashed near Badarkote Nallah under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramsoo.
The deceased was identified as Wasim Ahmad, son of Mohammad Qasim and a resident of Higni, Ramsoo. He died on the spot due to injuries sustained in the accident, officials said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated legal proceedings to ascertain the cause of the crash. (JKNS)
