SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has deputed 35 senior education officers from across the Valley to attend a four-day workshop on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020, as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen education reforms and align the school system with the national policy framework.
According to an official order issued by the Directorate’s Cultural Education Wing under reference CEW/IMPARD/7296857/539, the workshop, titled “Implementation of NEP-2020 in JK: Challenges and Opportunities”, is being conducted from July 6 to 9, 2026 at the Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JK IMPA and RD), M.A. Road, Srinagar.
The order, signed by Syed Shabir Ahmad (JKAS), Joint Director (Central), Directorate of School Education Kashmir, directs all nominated officers, including Principals, Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and Headmasters, to report at the IMPA and RD campus by 10 am on July 6. The Directorate has also made it mandatory for all participants to submit a detailed feedback report within one week of the completion of the programme to facilitate follow-up action and evaluate the workshop’s outcomes.
The deputed officers include Mushtaq Hussain Wani, Mohd Amin Sheikh, Khursheed Ahmad Dar and Mohd Maqbool Dobhi from Anantnag; Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Fayaz Ahmad Teli, Mohd Assadullah Mir and Masood-ul-Hussain Bukhari from Baramulla; Ashraf Ahmad Sofi, Azad Ahmad and Gh Ahmad Mir from Bandipora; Syed Mozaffar Hussain, Shabir Ahmad Wani, Gh Rasool Magarey and Mohammad Ashraf Wani from Budgam; and Sajad Ahmad Wani, Ab Rehman Mir and Farhana Khursheed from Ganderbal.
From Kulgam, the participants are Ab Majid Rangraz, Manzoor Ahmad Khatan and Farooq Ahmad Rather. Kupwara is represented by Ghulam Mohmad Sh…, Reyaz Ahmad Kirmani, Shabir Ahmad Badana and Farooq Ahmad Mir. The deputed officers from Pulwama are Reyaz Ahmad, Mohammed Yousuf, Mehmooda Jabeen and Fayaz Ahmad Mir, while Aga Mohammed Ashraf, Nisar Ahmad Koli and Nusrat Hamid are representing Shopian. Srinagar is represented by Benazir Chalkoo, Kousar Yousuf and Tahmeena Tabasum.
