Srinagar: Two brothers were Saturday arrested at Railway Station Mazhama in Budgam district after over Rs 37 lakh of old currency, was recovered from their possession, reports quoting police sources said.
They said that Farooq Ahmad Labro and Mohammad Shafi Labroo, sons of Ab Rehman Labroo R/o Sumbal, were arrested while boarding train at Mazhama Railway Station in Budgam district.
They were carrying a bag and on routine checking Rs 37, 20000 of old currency notes in 500 denomination notes were recovered from their possession, they said adding a case has been registered in this regard and investigation taken up.
